History of Henning Rental, Inc.

Bill Henning started his professional career as an agriculture service technician in 1971 and worked for the next 30 years at the same location and lasting through 3 different ownership changes. The rental business was started as a side hobby in 1978 with the purchase of a Bobcat skid loader model M-500. Bill worked 14 years at International Harvester dealership located at 80063 Hwy 71 until the dealership was bought in 1985. Bill hired on to work for the new company, “Ag and Truck Service Company” as the first employee in 1985 and for the next 14 years continuing to do repair & sales. In 1999, Ag and Truck Service Company sold to Tri County Implements (John Deere dealership) where Bill hired on and worked for an additional 2 years as a service technician. In 2001, Bill left to become self employed as demand for rental equipment was growing. With his repair experience and the few skidloaders and attachments he had, Bill was able to find a small facility to rent on the NE corner of Jackson, MN. This location quickly became too small for the growing rental and repair business and in 2007 Henning Rental bought its first facility at 100 Railroad Street. This allowed for much more growth in both areas of repair and rental. In January 2012, Henning Rental, Inc. purchased Willet’s Mini storage located on Hwy 71 at the south end of Jackson, MN. In 2015 Henning Rental made a move to a bigger property with a great location, back to where it all started in 1971 at 80063 Hwy 71. 2017 saw Henning Rental, Inc. take on a professional line of mowers called Bob-Cat that includes sales and service while also becoming a dealer for Kawasaki engines. Today Henning Rental, Inc. continues to offer full service repair, equipment rental, mini storage and Bob-Cat mower sales.
